Discover my professional background

Eternally curious from a very young age, I have always wanted a career in a scientific field. So, I enrolled in a bachelor’s degree in food science and technology from Laval University in 2002, still uncertain of my career aspirations, and mainly motivated by my interest in food, chemistry and the field of science. During my academic career, I quickly realized that my heart was more inclined towards improving the nutritional quality of foods than towards improving the textures, flavors, taste or appearance of the foods consumed. Confirming this during an internship in a company, the transformation, the optimization of organoleptic qualities (the taste of food) and the safety of food is not quite my cup of tea! Therefore, I decided to continue my graduate studies in food science, but with a specific interest in functional foods and nutraceuticals (foods that have a beneficial effect on the body and supplements), particularly in the study of compound foods that can improve health and maintain the good functions of the human body. So, I obtained my doctorate in 2013 and I signed up for a postdoctoral fellowship on the study of the benefits of omega-3 fatty acids on cognition at the Sherbrooke Research Center on Aging (CDRV). These studies enabled me to obtain the Fellowship from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Sherbrooke and to participate in the prestigious Nutribrain summer school at the l’Université de Bordeaux.

After this great experience of almost 2 years, I have come to the conclusion that, although my young career in the field of research seems the logical continuation, my heart leans more towards the promotion of health not as a researcher, but as a practitioner! Between 2015 and 2020, I was therefore interested in alternative medicine, more particularly naturopathy and nutritherapy. All the while, I have been teaching at the Ecole d’Enseignement Supérieur de Naturopathie du Québec since 2015 and I publish monthly columns about the close link between health and diet in Vitalité Quebec Magazine.

Since I was longing for more schooling, I undertook an exciting training in osteopathy in 2016. Finding my second love, I discovered the close links that exist between optimal biomechanical functions, tissue health, functional balance of the body, diet, and healthy lifestyles. Finally, I have found my calling!

I am currently working at my private clinic located in Drummondville as a Certified Naturopath and Osteopractor. Thanks to the services offered at the Clinique Expertise Santé, I pursued my vocation through a global approach combining nutritherapy, osteopathy, postural optimization and naturopathy in order to potentiate the vitality and health capital of people on a daily basis.

Looking forward to meeting you all!
