Health professionals unite to promote healthy aging; Jacques Lambert, medical doctor, article 2 of 3.
For the second article of our series on the presentation of our collaborators, we present you Jacques Lambert, our leading medical doctor, also co-author of the second book of Éric Simard, “Live Younger, TWO Times Longer”.
Dr. Jacques Lambert has been very interested in aging in the medical domain for more than 15 years. Having suffered from a heart attack at the age of 44, he turned to complementary approaches for conventional care to see how to slow down aging, which is attributable to many degenerative diseases, including heart disease.
A graduate of the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Sherbrooke since 1979, he completed his internship at Hôpital Saint-Luc, now part of the CHUM. After practicing medicine in a very diversified way in the Magdalen Islands, he continued in Saint-Lambert in routine care for 25 years. At the same time, he worked at the Pierre Boucher Hospital in Longueuil, where he served two terms as head of the Department of General Medicine, and several years as coordinator and director of the Physical Health/Medicine Program. He is currently pursuing his career as a family medical doctor in the family medicine group in Chambly.
For over 15 years, aesthetic medicine has also been part of his health domain, simultaneously with the anti-aging approach, which is complementary. Dr. Lambert is convinced that anti-aging medicine will eventually be part of the follow-up that will be the common practice of physicians eager to provide their patients with greater health capital, focused more on proactive than reactive approaches.
It is now a good ten years since Dr. Lambert promised to write a book to his patients and, fortunately, it is now done. Given his desire to communicate to as many people as possible the useful information on healthy lifestyle habits, he decided to collaborate to this blog.
“Is decreasing the impact of aging on our vital functions not ultimately the best starting treatment for all diseases?”
