How to cure the disease “I don't have time”?
Nowadays, time flies by quickly! Do you feel like you often run out of time for what's important to you? Do you feel in lack of control? Do you feel like your to-do list is just getting longer? Do you often feel tired? If so, you may be suffering from "I have no time".
This increasingly common disease contributes to the increased level of stress that many people experience. In short, this disease poisons the lives of many. Where does this disease come from?
Although you may believe that this problem comes from time itself, it is not. In fact, time is the same for all inhabitants on this planet. You have no more or less time than anyone else in a day. Remedies towards a cure
The first step to healing is to change your relationship with time. You have to go from "wanting to manage time" to learning to "manage yourself over time". Indeed, since everyone has the same number of hours in a day, it is impossible to manage time, because this does not change. However, what you can control is yourself over time. It is therefore possible to learn to manage yourself in another way over time to obtain conclusive results. By developing more effective organizational tools and discipline in your daily life, you can quickly free up hours of efficiency.
Another way to cure it, which may seem illogical at first glance, is to slow down. I can already hear you saying to me, "I don't have time to slow down, this is insane!” I understand you, because I had the same reaction when I heard this comment for the first time. However, I tested it and realized how effective it really is.
When you feel like you're running out of time, your brain is overwhelmed by stress hormones and becomes much less effective at thinking properly. The logical part of the brain which is responsible for rational thinking is then slowed down, even blocked. At this moment, a vicious circle begins. It’s like running in an endless hamster wheel. The only way to get out of it is to take the time to slow down and lower the stress levels.
Take the time to think in this moment about a few things you can do in your daily life to make sure you slow down when necessary. You could go hiking, spend time in nature, meditate, play sports, listen to music, take a nap, breathe consciously, etc. In short, all the things that make you feel good and that allow you to free yourself from stress.
