Dosage – Adults :
Take one capsule daily with a meal containing oil/fat. Keep out of reach of children.

It is recommended that you take VITOLI® VISION to maintain your vision as you age. Macular degeneration and cataracts cause significant vision problems, mainly in people 65 years of age and older. Smoking increases the risk significantly and a healthy diet can have a significant effect on risk reduction (Abdel-Aal et al., 2013). Large-scale clinical studies (AREDS and AREDS2) have demonstrated the preventive effect of lutein and zinc (Hobbs and Bernstein, 2014).

Lutein is extracted (along with zeaxanthin) from a flower native to Mexico and Central America: marigold. Lutein and zeaxanthin are carotenoid pigments that are also found in cantaloupe, pasta, corn, carrots, yellow and orange pepper, fish (salmon) and eggs. Recently, the concentration of lutein in the brain has also been linked to the preservation of cognitive abilities as we age (Jonhson, 2012).
Zinc is also important for eye health as an essential constituent of many enzymes. It is necessary for the visual process and retinal metabolism. Zinc is also a component of the enzyme superoxide dismutase (SOD): a natural antioxidant enzyme (Rasmussen and Johnson, 2013). Copper is added concomitantly with zinc since taking a zinc supplement may cause copper deficiency.
